San Diego Zoo

At the Zoo, students engage in hands-on learning, observing animals and habitats to deepen their understanding of ecology and ignite a passion for conservation. Third graders act as biologists, classifying animals by traits and studying adaptations in various habitats. Fifth graders explore African savanna food webs, documenting how energy flows through an ecosystem.
